Providing Hope Through Wheelchairs – Cause 19
Mobility is a basic human right. 1 in 100 people in the developing world have a mobility-related disability, and the penalty is often poverty. Without wheelchairs, people with disabilities are unable to access the world outside of their home. A wheelchair can give someone with a disability access to education, employment, and healthcare.
Take a moment to imagine what life would be like if you had to crawl everywhere? For 18 year old Moses, this was his reality. At the age of 2, he contracted malaria and due to complications, was left unable to walk. When Moses received his Free Wheelchair Mission (FWM) wheelchair, his life completely transformed. His wheelchair helped him gain an education and ultimately find a job. This gift of a wheelchair means more than mobility. It means renewed dignity, independence, and hope. A gift to this cause will send wheelchairs to those in need all over the world.
