The Shorty Awards honors the best social media producers. People who create and impact lives across Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram and other networking sites are often nominated. Elon Musk has been nominated for the category, Innovator of the Year.
The category states: “The greatest minds in our world are hard to put in a box. Our newest category this year, Innovator of the Year celebrates CEOs, directors, producers, and multi-faceted creatives who are rapidly pushing society forward through their work. To put it simply, they’re unlike the rest”
This is Elon Musk in a nutshell. He wants to take us to Mars, to the Moon, advance humanity while also helping our environment. He’s helped bring clean water to Flint, helped Flint kids in schools with laptops, has considerably cut down our carbon consumption with Tesla, and from a personal point of view, he was super kind to me.
He actually took the time to encourage a stranger (me) during a rough time. He inspires people to become doers despite the opposition. Today, he has numerous press headlines that constantly seek to smear him, yet he just keeps going as if they are not even there.
This is why he has my votes. Yes, votes. You can vote every day. When you share on social media, you get extra votes. So go here and vote for Elon Musk as Innovator of the Year.
